Japan Less Travelled: Uncovering the Japan few tourists know about

Japan Less Travelled has been a work in progress for many years. It finally came to life during the Covid-19 lock down when I suddenly found myself looking for worthwhile projects while quarantined at home. It is not a travel guide but rather it is a travelogue of the many incredible places in Japan that I have been to since 2005. It is about free and easy travel to places less travelled in Japan. This book is written for people who love to have control over their vacation itinerary, people who enjoy flexibility, independence, and spontaneity. It encourages readers to discover and try out new things, travel far and deep, organise their vacations to do things they like and do more than they think they can. Japan is organised into eight regions and each region is introduced in one chapter with the final chapter introducing valuable tips and pointers on how to enjoy Japan by being a better-informed tourist in Japan.
